A bespoke entrance Canopy was needed at the Enfield Resource Centre in Accrington to provide outdoor shelter for local service users of the centre.
The manufacture of the canopy followed a lengthy design consultation process with Lancashire County Councils Corporate Property and Building, Design, Construction Group within the Environment Directorate.
The design included incorporating an overhang to the rear onto flat in order to overcome drainage issues in a practical, aesthetically pleasing way.
Bailey streetscene were able to skilfully design and manufacture the bespoke canopy using cutting edge CAD drawings to expedite the approval process and ensure precise manufacturing.
In addition, Bailey streetscene were able to demonstrate an expert ability to work closely with the appointed contractor on site to provide a solution that was on budget and fitted within their schedule of works. In particular, in allowing other trades plenty of time to pave over our fixing detail to provide a clean aesthetic finish to enhance the main entrance area.
The canopy now not only provides adequate shelter for those entering the centre or waiting at the entrance, but also creates a striking, recognisable aesthetic to the front of the building.
