Bailey Streetscene working with Lindum Group; designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke awning canopy to serve the entrance of a new Visitors Centre for John Deere in Nottingham.
The canopy sits in front of the newly built glass fronted showroom that will display the latest equipment from John Deere.
The “stadium” shaped roof design, as well as the unique Umber powder coated finish, were developed for the canopy to coordinate with existing structures on the site.
Due to predetermined drainage outlets, thorough calculations were required to take into
account the movement of the shelter in regards to its proximity with the building facade.
To minimise movement the canopy utilises below ground fixings and a branching structure to secure the canopy in 8 points. The design also features discreet drainpipes that run alongside the legs directly into the ground drainage.
The canopy is an adaptation of our Arbor Canopy as featured at the Stena Line Ferry Port in Loch Ryan. A highly durable structure specifically designed to withstand strong coastal winds.
